Testimonials

Paul and his team were extremely relevant and helpful for us. Their interventions were always an excellent way to introduce our members and institutional partners to the emerging topics of work-life balance and occupational mental health as part of policies addressing social protection systems.

Paul ter Wal has supported the Wienerberger organization in the Netherlands in tackling absenteeism. Absenteeism has continued to increase in recent years. Together with Paul ter Wal and Team Arbo Unie, we have succeeded in transforming the absenteeism approach into a more people-oriented approach. In addition, the collaboration with the health and safety service was re-established and we started with case management in task delegation. With this setup, we can be on the ball for a shorter period of time and switch more quickly with providers, for example for pre intakes. With this working method, the company doctor can focus more on prevention and activities in the field of sustainable employability and it offers us the opportunity to prevent more dropouts in the future. Wienerberger would like to thank Paul ter Wal for their expertise and great commitment in their field, but above all for the cooperation with all stakeholders in the process.

Maurice van Hal

HR director Wienerberger The Netherlands

In his lecture Paul ter Wal addressed several theories in the field of sustainable employability, engagement and accountability, which can be considered as the ultimate goals of many health programs. He underpinned his approach with a case study and many practical examples. He shared his team’s wide experience in this field in an interactive and enthusiastic style.
